Happy Blessed Wednesday Family,

Today's Mona Girl Blog is about Social Media. I have to be completely honest, I am NOT a big Social Media person (hence why I procrastinated in starting Mona Girl Blog - Thanks Holy Spirit!).  But I do have a Twitter account @MonaGirlNYC that I use mainly to Tweet Wednesday's Blog, communicate on a limited basis with Friends (my Tweets are ALWAYS too long), and follow my fave NYC Restaurants/Food Trucks/Chefs, Inspirational Folks, ESPN/SportsCenter, Travel and Film Stuff.

You all know my Fave Team is The New York Mets and for the last few months, I've been at a location where I've not had the joy of watching My Metsies on  SNY.  And since I canceled my MLB.TV Membership (to watch/listen to games live), I've been keeping close tabs on my Metsies Men via MLB Gameday and "Mets on Twitter" via MetsBlog which is by far my Fave way to track the Games. Tweets come in from the slew of Mets Reporters, The New York Mets Team site, etc.  I'm partial to the following three "Twitter Folks", (yeah, I made that up....it's a Monaism) @MetsBooth, @MarcCarig and @AnthonyDiComo.  Their Tweets are funny, factual, informative, laced with sarcasm at times and just down right witty.

Anywho.....as I was thinking about Social Media, my mind wandered to thinking about What if Jesus had a Twitter Account?!? LOL!  Yeah, I KNOW.......I am way out in the deep end today with this but come on.....take my hand and let's see where this leads us.

Soooo, we know that in order to have a Twitter Account, you have to have a Username so here are some of the Usernames I came up with for Our Lord and Savior: @JesusChristSaves or @JC2000A.D. or @JesusRSavior and my fave, @JesusLives!

OK!! And now that we've discussed options for Jesus' Username, just imagine if Jesus came on the scene and Tweeted His First BIG Miracle - #Jesus Turns Water Into Wine at the Wedding at Cana - John 2:1-11 (read the Bible Scripture at: Jesus' First Miracle). Can you imagine the Number of Followers and Retweets and Likes He would have received INSTANTLY?!? Whewee! YOU Go JESUS!!

Or what if Jesus decided to Tweet what He did one evening in the desert with a little boys lunch (5 small loaves of bread and 2 fish), after He finished preaching to an audience of 5000+ - #Jesus Feeds the Five Thousand - Matthew 14:13-21 (read the Bible Scripture at: Jesus Feeds Five Thousand).  Can you imagine the Tweets and Instagram Photos!! Twitter would have crashed!! Hallelujah!!

OK, pleeeeeeez indulge me for just One more "What if"........What if Jesus Tweeted His Miracle when He raised His Boy and life long friend Lazarus from the Dead?!? - #Jesus Raises Lazarus from the Dead -John 11:38-44 (read the Bible Scripture at: The Raising of Lazarus). Oh YEAH!! I can't even Begin to Imagine the Selfies of Jesus and Lazarus!!! Yeah Jesus!!

Family, this was FUN!! I tell you one thing......if Our Lord and Savior had a Twitter Account, I would be His BIGGEST Follower....hanging on Each and Everyone of HIS Awesome Tweets!!  Thanks to the Holy Spirit for feeding me the **Biblical Twitter** "What If's". And as I ALWAYS say, when it comes to Mona Girl Blog, WE just NEVER know where Our Lord is going to lead, teach and laugh with US on any given Wednesday.

Well Loves, TODAY, Holy Spirit has me being His Vessel of Prayer to YOU. What that means is, today's Mona Girl Blog is about Us coming together as one.

Plain and Simple.....IT'S PRAYER TIME......So please give me your hands, close your eyes and bow your head.............

Father God, we come humbly to Your Mighty Throne of Grace right now as Your World-wide Family that You united and joined together back in December 2014. We had no idea who each of us was, where we lived, what our Faith Walk was like, Believer or Non-Believer, our ethnicity, male or female, gay or straight but here we are NOW........united in Love coming to You in Prayer.

Heavenly Father, I want to THANK YOU for ALL of Us! I want to THANK YOU for bringing us together from around Your Beautiful Globe to come and receive what "thus saith the Lord" every Wednesday! I KNOW that I have grown in such unimaginable ways as I continue to faithfully and enthusiastically serve as your Anointed Scribe each Wednesday. What an Honor! What a Privilege! So Very Grateful!

I continue to be overwhelmed by Lessons Learned and Hearts Transformed as we share our lives with each over each week. For those who reply to me via email after each week's post to those who reply every once and awhile to those who do not reply....I THANK YOU Father God for ALL of our World-wide Family and for continuing to come into our lives and transform us, mold us, shape us, inspire us, encourage us, comfort us, protect us, discipline us, humble us, celebrate us, cry with us, laugh with us........LOVE US!! 

Lord God, You spoke Your marvelous world into existence and We are Your Children.  And whether We know it or not, We each have a Specific Purpose, a Custom-designed Call on our lives. And I PRAY right now as we kneel boldly at Your feet Lord that We humble ourselves enough to ask YOU what Your Purpose is for each of us.  I PRAY You show us, reveal to us EXACTLY why You created us.....WHO WE ARE TO BE ACCORDING TO YOUR WILL!

And Jesus, I KNOW this is a hard question for some of us to ask and even harder for some of us to receive the answer. But I PRAY that each and every one of us TODAY.....RIGHT NOW....get the courage to ask YOU this glorious, life-altering question. And for those who do make the Ask Lord, I THANK YOU for taking us into your loving arms and leading and guiding us on this Mighty Adventure, Your God-Ordained Journey to reveal this Truth.

Father God, Your PRESENCE & LOVE are so important to us. And I THANK YOU for ALWAYS being by our side (carrying us if need be) as we each in our own individual and imperfect ways......get our Faith Walks.......this thing called Life under control and in unison with Your Plan and Purpose for Our Lives. 

Abba Father, I PRAY we keep our eyes fixed like flint on You, holding tightly to Your Unchanging and Loving Hand as We Step Out of the Boat, Walk on Water with You and have the Courage, Faith and Determination to Daily Live Out Our **BEST** Lives....Your Way......YAHWEH! In Jesus' Mighty Name. Amen. Amen. Amen.

*BREAKING*: Nothing Like INNER PEACE!!

Well Loves......Holy Spirit's been in my Ear the last few days regarding folk's INNER PEACE......folk's SOUL PEACE!

And because I'm HIS and I'm Obedient, I've been PRAYING mightily for some of You and Your INNER PEACE.  The kind of PEACE that breaks the negative yolks of anger, resentment, bitterness, worry, unforgiveness, meanness, spiteful/vindictive spirit, fear, doubt, low self-esteem, lack of joy, lack of self-discipline, unbelief, living life as a pretender, living life with a hardened heart toward God, jealousy, pride, etc.

Wheweee, that's some kind of Prayer List. But to be honest, there are many walking around Right Now, Right This Second with their All-Is-Well-Hallelujah! Christian Mask on when in reality their Soul......their INNER PEACE is alllllll jacked up! And Loves, my soul aches...it hurts when I see some of our Brothers and Sisters walkin out life this way!!!!

And how can I be so forth-right and sure of this you ask?!? Cuz Family, I know EXACTLY what it looks like. That used to be ME!  Been There. Done That. Got the T-shirt!!! I was fabricating a Life of Peace when in reality, I was lacking INNER PEACE! Not a fun way to live and if Not for the GRACE of God, I would have missed out on God's Divine Purpose for Mona...the very *Reason* He created Me! God cannot live and dwell and abide and speak to a Soul when it's in a constant state of unrest.....when it's lacking INNER PEACE. And as I learned first-hand, YOU CAN FOOL OTHER FOLKS BUT YOU CAN'T FOOL GOD.

So today...Holy Spirit's message is to PLEASE, PLEASE seek PEACE in your Life.  Seek INNER PEACE deep in your soul.  And Loves, if you're struggling to get to this sacred place of INNER PEACE due to the laundry list of unlovely, under-belly stuff  listed above, Holy Spirit's loving suggestion? Reach out to someone for Prayer....a consistent Prayer Partner. Join a Prayer Line that focuses on PEACE. Google "Scriptures on Peace" and Read your Bible, get into His Word. Sit quietly with Jesus and let Him speak comfort and PEACE to your Soul. Humbly and Honestly ask the Lord for Forgiveness and Repent of the "stuff" (and you know what "stuff" I'm talkin 'bout) that keeps your soul void of Peace. Distance yourself from toxic/negative folks.  Create a "Songs of PEACE" PlayList to chill-lax to. Take a Yoga Class.  Schedule a time with your Pastor, Priest or Rabbi to talk about your feelings. Find a Genuine, Trust-worthy friend or confidant (who's NOT a Gossip) to confide in/share with. If possible, do a **Real Talk Session** with Family, your spouse or significant other. As most of us Word Abiders know (and I'm paraphrasing)......."Our God is NOT the author of Confusion but of Peace." (1 Corinthians 14:33).  So this is the Last Place HE wants Us to Live....this is the Last Way HE wants Us to Walk Out Our Lives. Family, Our Daddy God has Soooooo MUCH for Us to Experience and Do as we walk out the Gift of Life He gave to Us. He wants to Bless Us so we can be a Blessing.  He wants Us to reflect the Image of Jesus and be His Light in the Darkness to help others. He wants Us to take our Imperfect selves and be living, breathing Testimonies of His Goodness, Mercy and Love! And we can't Do or Be ALL He's got for Us to Do and Be if we're lacking INNER PEACE.

So Loves, as I close out our time together today, I'm leaving you with: 1) Three *PEACE* Scriptures to get you started and ride shotgun (insert your Name to make them Personal); 2) A Scripture to Pray Over You; 3) A Soaking Song to give you PEACE (Love the Santana-esque Guitar Solo!!).  AND I encourage You to turn off the TV; shut down the iPad, Laptop, Phone, Tablet; stop the mindless, unproductive busyness; remove the annoying distractions; silence the Noise and **BE STILL**.........and seek to find some INNER PEACE via Holy Spirit's suggestions above. I can PROMISE You as a one who's Been There. Done That and Got the T-shirt!! It's the ONLY way to Truly Live an Awesome-sauce Life of INNER PEACE and Live Out Your God-Ordained, Divine Purpose! #PureFreedom!!

"And the Peace of God, which passes all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:7, JUB)

"You will keep him in perfect Peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You." (Isaiah 26:3, NKJV)

"Keep my commands in your heart, for they will prolong your life many years and bring you Peace and prosperity." (Proverbs 3:1-2, NIV)

OVER THE MOON EXCITED!!!! #DrinkingTheKool-Aid!!

Welllllllllll, today's Mona Girl Blog is ALLLL about My Amazing New York Mets' Men!! Soooooo grab a seat and get ready for some real, over the top Gushing.........

Just like today's Mona Girl Blog title says.....I'M OVER THE MOON EXCITED!  I've got a Big Gulp filled with #LGM Kool-Aid and I'm drinking every last drop to quench a NINE year thirst!!

On the evening of Saturday, September 26th....The New York Mets became the National League East Champions and are heading to the Post Season after a lonnnnng 9 year hiatus. And YOU know what the Biblical Meaning of NINE is?!? Nine means "Divine Completion"!! Oh YEAH!! Thank You Lord!!

Family, there's been lots and lots of "I can't believe it's not butter"......"You can't make this stuff up" **Divine** things happen to The New York Mets since Opening Day wayyyyy back in April.  But out of ALL the 157 Games Played; Mets Team and MLB records broken; Exceptional Player Acquisitions; Team Comradery Strengthened, Accolades given; Awards achieved; Panic City Drama; Raccoon, Yellow Parakeet and Pigeon sightings at CitiField; Tears turned to Joy, Late Inning Heroic Comebacks, etc. etc...........there are TWO Amazing Mets' Moments that top Mona's List (SO FAR!!) for this Magical Season:

#1: On Saturday evening, 9th Inning at Great American Ball Park (one of my fave Ball Parks to watch My Metsies play), David Wright (Mets 3rd Baseman) hit his 5th Home Run of the Season in his last At-Bat in the game where the Mets Won and became the NL East Champions!! What's the Big Deal you say?!? Welll, sit tight Loves, there's more to this story........As many doom and gloomers were predicting, David should not even be **Playing Baseball** this Season as a result of being diagnosed in April with Spinal Stenosis. But that's NOT how Captain America is wired.......he fought back, battled many long, hard days of physical therapy and specially designed workouts, dreamed over and over of what his comeback would look like....and Bam! Returned to his Team several weeks ago, has NOT missed a beat, playing better than ever, and has given us Mets Fans something to talk about/remember for years to come!!  And just because I like to go over board, (after all Gushing is the focus of today's Blog), David Wright is #5. David Wright hit his 5th Home Run of the Season to secure our clinch of the NL East.  And do You know what the Biblical Meaning of FIVE is?!? Five means "Grace"!!! Oh YESSS!! NOTHING but God's GRACE that David is healed, back with his Team and PLAYING like an All-Star!!! And David, God's Got Your Back (literally)!

#2: DRAMA....D-R-A-M-A; Agent said, Team said, Player said; blah, blah, blah; noise, noise, noise; has ALL come to this Wonderful Conclusion.....that brings such PEACE in Metsville.  Lean in closer.........closer......are you listening??  OH YEAH!  The Dark Knight wants THE BALL!!!  Well done Matt! Your Team needs YOU and You've stepped up and are looking FAB doing what YOU do Best....showing off the Gifts and Talents God's BLESSED You with!  And Matt, God's Got You!

Family, as I said back in February in the PLAY BALL!!!!!!  #LetsGoMets! Mona Girl Blog: "I KNOW  that I KNOW that I KNOW My Heavenly Father is a New York Mets Fan!! AND how do I know this for sure?!? Because Our Lord is a Believer and Rewarder of Long Suffering!  LOL! Hold on Mets Fans! Our Day of **VICTORY & REDEMPTION** is coming very, very soon!!"

Well, "SOON" is NOW as the Mighty Mets' Men continue to take US on an AMAZIN journey!! Next Steps...Five more Regular Season Games (there's that #5 again - GRACE!!), then the NL Division Series and then the NL Championship Series and then YOU KNOW.........Awwww YES!! For right now.....let's just keep those TWO Exciting Words in our hearts!! The DREAM will gain more Power this way :)

COURAGE TO DECLUTTER

Happy Blessed Wednesday Family,

For the past few months, Holy Spirit's been showing me pictures of CLUTTER! Clutter in houses, Clutter in stores, Clutter on the street, Clutter in cars - Clutter, Clutter Clutter! And being aware how HE works in Mona....the ongoing visions of CLUTTER have led us right into today's Mona Girl Blog! I LOVE How Our Daddy God Works when We are Alert and Listening!

Anywho, the CLUTTER FEST manifested real time via a conversation with someone about Decluttering.  And I got to thinking...How do we get to the point that we even have Clutter in our homes in the first place?  Why do we feel the need to collect, keep, continue to add to, stockpile, hoard (the "h" word) the unnecessary stuff in our houses and spaces?

The Cambridge Dictionary defines CLUTTER: "A condition of disorder, or a lot of objects that are in a state of disorder" 

As I read the word "disorder" in the above definition, it got me thinking about when I was in my own personal Season of Accumulating Clutter and the "disorder" going on inside of Mona.  And how I was Specifically using (yeah, take my hand as I give you an uber-close-up-look into my soul) the outside/external Clutter to cover up the inside/internal Clutter in my life.  When I STOPPED long enough to take a look see behind my actions, the REAL REASON behind my Clutter Fest, it took me to a whole notha soul searching level! Oh Yeah! I was collecting Clutter on the Outside to hide/cover up the Clutter on the Inside!! Whewee! What a revelation!! (Thank You Lord).  

Loves, Clutter in Our Lives is Real.  And it's usually a sign of some deeper soul stuff that we need to Pause and Ponder for a spell to see the REAL REASON behind our subconscious actions.  And again, speaking from personal experience, I was ONLY able to STOP my Clutter Fest (which to be honest had grown into a full-blown Clutter Frenzy) when I realized I was buying/collecting more and more stuff because I was at a stage in my life (from 2009 to 2011) where I was dealing each day with the decision to step out in Faith, be Obedient to the Lord, and move to NYC after over 20+ years of living in Chicago.  It was a SCARY time in my life and the the act of shopping and collecting unnecessary stuff was distracting me from some Real Life Issues I was NOT willing to deal with...Fear, Uncertainty, Doubt, Trusting God to name just a few (smile).

But OH Loves, I've got good news for Us!! Once I spent some time doing some honest and a tad uncomfortable soul searching; along with riding shotgun with a couple Holy Spirit provided Scriptures that I personalized ("And my God will supply ALL my needs according to the riches of His Glory in Christ Jesus" - Philippians 4:19 and "I can do ALL things through Christ who strengthens me" - Philippians 4:13); Staying In and Soaking In His Word - The Bible; and of course some much needed Prayer Time alone and with a confidant ..............I was able to put a STOP to my Clutter Fest Frenzy.......Purge/Donate mostly ALL the Clutter Fest items (which Blessed Others in the process) and move forward with what Our Daddy God had NEXT for Me.....a good, new life in NYC Clutter Free! I finally had the COURAGE TO DECLUTTER........Inside & Out!!

Now I'm not saying it was as EASY as it appears typed out in the above paragraph but it was NOT as painful and traumatic as one would imagine.  But again, once I got the COURAGE TO DECLUTTER, it Truly became easier to release from my life those things that were causing me to Clutter up my home and my life!! And Family, as a Clutter Freak in Recovery, I can Honestly say - There's NOTHING like **FREEDOM FROM CLUTTER**.....Inside & Out! You and Your Home Will Look and Feel Better!!

Loves, as I close out our time together today, I leave you with a couple Scriptures to mediate/ponder on regarding your personal Clutter Fest and hope you get to the point where you finally have the COURAGE TO DECLUTTER!!

Jesus looked closely at the man.  He liked him and said, "There's one thing you still need to do. Go sell everything you own.  Give the money to the poor, and you will have riches in heaven.  Then come with me." (Mark 10:21, CEV)

"This is how it will be with whoever stores up things for themselves but is not rich toward God." Then Jesus said to his disciples: "Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; or about your body, what you will wear.  For life is more than food, and the body more than clothes.  Consider the ravens: They do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or barn; yet God feeds them.  And how much more valuable you are than birds!" (Luke 12:21-24, NIV)

Well Loves.......TODAY....... Our Lord has me sharing with You **A PRAYER FOR PEACE**. **A PRAYER FOR PEACE** in Your Own Life!!

And that's TRULY something We ALL need right about now with ALL the Foolishness and Drama and Life Stuff that's swirling around in our daily atmospheres :)

So Here We Go.....


Dear Heavenly Father,

Please calm my spirit today.

Please forgive me for worrying about the people and circumstances that surround me.

Please replace anger with Peace.

Please help me to keep my focus on Jesus, author and finisher of my faith.

Please help me to focus on what I need to accomplish today, and what You want me to do.

Help me to put away all wrong thoughts and please keep me from wrong actions.

I want to be a steady, stable, godly person who is a pleasure to be around and a loving witness of your mercy and glory.

May I be an instrument of your Peace today.  

In Jesus' Name I Pray, Amen.
