The old world tells us to take control
As we navigate life's sea,
But if we give it all to God,
So much smoother life would be.
With little faith we hold on tight,
For even though we know
It's best for God to take control,
It's hard to let it go.
God, as Captain of our lives
Will steer us from the shoals
And guide us on to safety
If we hand Him the controls.
Don't try to sail life's vessel,
But with faith and without fear,
Let your hands fall from the wheel,
Let go and let God steer.
