TWEET.....TWEET

Happy Blessed Wednesday Family,

Today's Mona Girl Blog is about Social Media. I have to be completely honest, I am NOT a big Social Media person (hence why I procrastinated in starting Mona Girl Blog - Thanks Holy Spirit!).  But I do have a Twitter account @MonaGirlNYC that I use mainly to Tweet Wednesday's Blog, communicate on a limited basis with Friends (my Tweets are ALWAYS too long), and follow my fave NYC Restaurants/Food Trucks/Chefs, Inspirational Folks, ESPN/SportsCenter, Travel and Film Stuff.

You all know my Fave Team is The New York Mets and for the last few months, I've been at a location where I've not had the joy of watching My Metsies on  SNY.  And since I canceled my MLB.TV Membership (to watch/listen to games live), I've been keeping close tabs on my Metsies Men via MLB Gameday and "Mets on Twitter" via MetsBlog which is by far my Fave way to track the Games. Tweets come in from the slew of Mets Reporters, The New York Mets Team site, etc.  I'm partial to the following three "Twitter Folks", (yeah, I made that up....it's a Monaism) @AnthonyDiComo and @MetsBooth.  Their Tweets are funny, factual, informative, laced with sarcasm at times and just down right witty.

Anywho.....as I was thinking about Social Media, my mind wandered to thinking about What if Jesus had a Twitter Account?!? LOL!  Yeah, I KNOW.......I am way out in the deep end today with this but come on.....take my hand and let's see where this leads us.

Soooo, we know that in order to have a Twitter Account, you have to have a Username so here are some of the Usernames I came up with for Our Lord and Savior: @JesusChristSaves or @JC2000A.D. or @JesusRSavior and my fave, @JesusLives!

OK!! And now that we've discussed options for Jesus' Username, just imagine if Jesus came on the scene and Tweeted His First BIG Miracle - #Jesus Turns Water Into Wine at the Wedding at Cana - John 2:1-11 (read the Bible Scripture at: Jesus' First Miracle). Can you imagine the Number of Followers and Retweets and Favorites He would have received INSTANTLY?!? Whewee! YOU Go JESUS!!

Or what if Jesus decided to Tweet what He did one evening in the desert with a little boys lunch (5 small loaves of bread and 2 fish), after He finished preaching to an audience of 5000+ - #Jesus Feeds the Five Thousand - Matthew 14:13-21 (read the Bible Scripture at: Jesus Feeds Five Thousand).  Can you imagine the Tweets and Instagram Photos!! Twitter would have crashed!! Hallelujah!!

OK, pleeeeeeez indulge me for just One more "What if"........What if Jesus Tweeted His Miracle when He raised His Boy and life long friend Lazarus from the Dead?!? - #Jesus Raises Lazarus from the Dead -John 11:38-44 (read the Bible Scripture at: The Raising of Lazarus). Oh YEAH!! I can't even Begin to Imagine the Selfies of Jesus and Lazarus!!! Yeah Jesus!!

Family, this was FUN!! I tell you one thing......if Our Lord and Savior had a Twitter Account, I would be His BIGGEST Follower....hanging on Each and Every one of HIS Awesome Tweets!!  Thanks to the Holy Spirit for feeding me the **Biblical Twitter** "What If's". And as I ALWAYS say, when it comes to Mona Girl Blog, WE just NEVER know where Our Lord is going to lead, teach and laugh with US on any given Wednesday.

"Having many things to write unto you, I would not write with paper and ink, but I trust to come unto you and speak face to face, that our joy may be full." (2 John 1:12, JUB)

Completion: The Road to New Beginnings

The period of completion, rather than being just an act of finality is also one of transition.

Life is a collage of beginnings and ending that run together like still-wet paint.  Yet before we can begin any new phase in life, we must sometimes first achieve closure to the current stage we are in.  That's because many of life's experiences call for closure.  Often, we cannot see the significance of an event or importance of a lesson until we have reached closure.  Or, we may have completed a certain phase in life or path of learning and want to honor that ending.  It is this sense of completion that frees us to open the door to new beginnings.  Closure serves to tie up or sever loose ends, quiets the mind even when questions
have been left unanswered, signifies the end of an experience, and acknowledges that a change has taken place.

The period of completion, rather than being just an act of finality, is also one of transition.  When we seek closure, what we really want is an understanding of what has happened and an opportunity to derive what lessons we can from an experience.  Without closure, there is no resolution and we are left to grieve, relive old memories to the point of frustration, or remain forever connected to people from our past.  A sense of completion regarding a situation may also result when we accept that we have done our best.  If you can't officially achieve closure with someone, you can create completion by participating in a closure ritual.  Write a farewell letter to that person and then burn your note during a ceremony.  This ritual allows you to consciously honor and appreciate what has taken place between you and release the experiences so you can move forward.

Closure can help you let go of feelings of anger or uncertainty regarding your past even as you honor your experience - whether good or bad - as a necessary step on your life's path.  Closure allows you to emotionally lay to rest issues and feelings that may be weighing down your spirit.  When you create closure, you affirm that you have done what was needed, are wiser because of your experience, and are ready for whatever life wants to bring you next.  -by Madison Taylor

***HEADS UP***!!!!

Happy Blessed Wednesday Family.

Well........in today's Mona Girl Blog, Our Lord wants me to share with You a "HEADS UP" Message!!

Meaning..........No Matter what You are going through......No Matter what You are dealing with.....No Matter what's on Your plate.......No Matter what folks are saying about You.....NO MATTER WHAT.....KEEP YOUR HEAD UP!!

If You are depressed, upset, unhappy, anxious, angry, restless, fearful, etc., etc., etc.  KEEP YOUR HEAD UP!! Our Lord is using Me today to encourage YOU to KEEP YOUR HEAD UP!!

But you say: "Mona, you don't know what's going on in my life.....you don't know what I've done and, as a result, I'm walking out the consequences......you don't know what I've been through.....you don't understand my specific situation, it's very complicated."  Yeah!  You're Right!  I don't know ANYTHING about Your personal situation/circumstance/crises but I do KNOW this!  God will Forgive YOU of anything that You've done if You go to Him in Prayer asking for Forgiveness and to help You Repent of Your Sins. And once you do, He's already Forgiven You.  And, if You in turn Forgive Yourself......Then YOU have NO REASON not to KEEP YOUR HEAD UP!!

"Always remember that we are all God's children.  No matter what is in your past, the moment that you sincerely say the words, "Lord, forgive me," the slate will be wiped clean." (not sure who wrote this because I like to give credit to folk's wisdom....I read it in a Devotional last night and it fit well here.)

Family, I know I seem to be lingering here a tad longer than necessary (LOL!) but Our Abba Father wants YOU to Really know, understand, comprehend........ that HE is and will be with YOU.  You just have to call out His Name.......Yell out HELP ME LORD!! I NEED YOU! And when you give Your life to Him, recommit Your life to Him, ask Him for Forgiveness........He will come to Your aid and help You KEEP YOUR HEAD UP!! I can tell you this with the utmost assurance because that's EXACTLY what I did years ago and I have not looked back.....I have NEVER regretted Yelling out to HIM for Help!!

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart.  Never rely on what you think you know. Remember the Lord in everything you do, and he will show you the right way." (Proverbs 3:5-6, GNT)

I know this may sound easy to some of you......maybe a "too good to be true" type of deal but it works! When YOU invite Our Lord and Savior into your life, He will come in and shower and consume You with His LOVE. He will be Your Guide, Your Rescuer, Your Support, Your Strength, Your Courage,Your Vindicator,Your Help, Your EVERYTHING!! And when You begin to (or for those of us who are already on this path) Consistently Walk with Him, You will be able to KEEP YOUR HEAD UP!!

"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous.  Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go." (Joshua 1:9, ESV)

Now.....Y'all know me and You KNOW I will ALWAYS tell you the Truth...no rose-colored glasses...sugar-coated Faith around here.  It will NOT ALWAYS be easy to KEEP YOUR HEAD UP.....even when You Consistently Walk with HIM........because WE are human and life sucks sometimes!!! BUT when We have our fool proof safety net........our genuine and loving Heavenly Father......the stuff life brings our way won't get to us like it used to.  We won't check-in to Hotel Depression or book an extended stay at Woe is Me Resort.  We'll be able to bounce back quicker and stronger and be able to....(OH YEAH!!! SAY IT WITH ME PLEASE)..........KEEP OUR HEADS UP!! Awwww YES!!  Thank You Jesus!!   Whewee Family!!  This is Goooood Stuff!!  Thank You Holy Spirit!!

"God, the one and only - I'll wait as long as he says.  Everything I hope for comes from him, so why not?  He's solid rock under my feet, breathing room for my soul, An impregnable castle: I'm set for life.  My help and glory are in God - granite-strength and safe harbor-God. So trust him absolutely, people; lay your lives on the line for him.  God is a safe place to be." (Psalm 62:5-8, MSG)

Family, please KNOW, my offer ALWAYS stands.  I'm here to Pray with You, help You understand Your Salvation or just be an Ear to Hear :)  24/7 Mona Access: wincty@aol.com

As I close out today's Mona Girl Blog, I'm leaving You with a hodgepodge of goodies to inspire and encourage and remind YOU to KEEP YOUR HEAD UP!!

A Scripture (Mona's Life Verse), A Word Pic by My Girl Helen Keller and not One my Lovelies.......but TWO old school songs!!!! Enjoy!!!

"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." (Philippians 4:13, NKJV)

Continued Success and Blessings!!! Keeping YOU in My Prayers!!

RAIN DROPS KEEP FALLING................

Happy Blessed Wednesday Family,

Today's Mona Girl Blog is GIVING THANKS to Our Lord for the Much Needed Rain in certain parts of the U.S.  With drought numbers climbing, farmers desperate for rain for their crops, and just the overall need for a goooood cleansing of our Earth - THANK YOU LORD for YOUR RAIN!!

Soooo on the heels of our Rain Praise, I'm going to share with you a few Poems & Scriptures on Rain!! I KNOW Right?!? Where He leads me each Wednesday just continues to make me Smile Big!!

Nothing major, just something to read....some food for thought as you chill-lax and enjoy the Blessing of RAIN!!

"For ground that drinks the rain which often falls on it and brings forth vegetation useful to those for whose sake it is also tilled, receives a blessing from God;" (Hebrews 6:7, NASB)

"Let the rain kiss you
Let the rain beat upon your head with silver liquid drops
Let the rain sing you a lullaby
The rain makes still pools on the sidewalk
The rain makes running pools in the gutter
The rain plays a little sleep song on our roof at night
And I love the rain" - Langston Hughes

"And it came to pass after many days that the word of the Lord came to Elijah in the third year, saying, Go, show thyself unto Ahab; and I will send rain upon the earth." (1 Kings 18:1, JUB)

"I thought I had forgotten,
But it all came back again
To-night with the first spring thunder
In a rush of rain.

I remembered a darkened doorway
Where we stood while the storm swept by,
Thunder gripping the earth
And lightening scrawled on the sky.

The passing motor busses swayed,
For the street was a river of rain,
Lashed into little golden waves
In the lamp light's stain.

With the wild spring rain and thunder
My heart was wild and gay;
Your eyes said more to me that night
Than your lips would ever say..........

I thought I had forgotten,
But it all came back again
To-night with the first spring thunder
In a rush of rain." - Sara Teasdale

"He sends rain on the land and he waters the fields." (Job 5:10, GNT)

And my Lovelies, what would Our Lord's Rain Drops Keep Falling.....Message be today without leaving You with this blast from the past.......a little ditty for you to sing along with as you dodge the Blessed Rain Drops.....LOL!! Enjoy!!

Continued Success & Blessings!
