For the last few weeks, I've been **Walking Out Real Time** a Scripture that's at the top of the Bible's Greatest Hits List......a Scripture that's on the tip of the tongue of every True Word-Abider/Believer: "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.  In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths." (Proverbs 3:5-6, KJV)

TRUST HIM! No matter what our circumstances/situations look like in the natural, no matter what we are growing through, no matter what folks are saying about us. And We are to TRUST HIM WITH ALL THINE HEART! Not just the portion of our heart we parcel off and give to Our Lord because it's comfortable but We are to TRUST HIM WITH OUR ENTIRE HEART! OUR EVERYTHING!

Whewee Family! That's TRULY easier said than done!  Depending on the exact date and time, the foolishness of folks in our lives, the intensity of the Life Stuff that's hovering around (smile), that's a Tall Order from Our Lord!! But Thank God that's Not the end of this If/Then Scripture from Our Heavenly Father!

HE says If We TRUST HIM WITH ALL OUR HEART......Then HE WILL GUIDE US, DIRECT US, LEAD US IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION!  So If We do our part and do not give into our Will, our Wants, our Shenanigans of trying to fix things on our end (that's called Pride by the way) and Give Him the Glory! Give Him a Shout Out! Acknowledge Him as Our Ride or Die!.....Then He's Got Us!! And Loves, what an Awesome, Loving,  Peace-of-Mind **PROMISE** from Abba Father that gives Us the courage to Hold On.....that gives us the Bold Confidence to KNOW that We KNOW that We KNOW no matter the insurmountable, seemingly impossible task(s) Life throws our way or the "Stuff" that comes across our path, He's Got Us!

Commercial Break: And Family, if We Push Pause and just think about, reflect on ALL the Mighty Saints of God in the Bible who TRUSTED HIM! TRUSTED HIM WITH THEIR ENTIRE HEART!! Oh Yeah, the list is endless........Moses, Queen Esther, Mary (Jesus' Mother Mary), Jacob, Isaac, Joseph, King David, Rahab, Hannah, Ruth, Naomi, Job, Joshua, Caleb, Elijah, Elisha, Noah, Deborah, Elizabeth, Apostle Paul, the TWELVE DISCIPLES, The Woman with the Issue of Blood, The Samaritan Woman at the Well, Jeremiah, Sarah, Abraham, JESUS!!!!!! Whewee!! Google their names and You'll have a lifetime of Encouragement, Inspiration and CONFIRMATION on Why, **WHY** Family We Can, Should and Do TRUST HIM!!! 

Y'all know me and I LOVE to feel Your warm, around-the-globe energy, so Please say with me Right Now what thus saith the Lord because there's POWER in His Word when We speak it Together out loud: "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.  In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths." (Proverbs 3:5-6, KJV) Oh Yeah! That's God Stuff! Thank You!! THANK YOU!!

Holy Spirit brought a read across my path earlier today (Thanks Shalawn!) that He's nudging me to drop in right here before we close out our time together.  I hope it gives You even more reason.....encourages You even more to continue to TRUST HIM!

There are benefits, advantages and promises directly correlated to one’s absolute TRUST in God. God loves each and every one of His children and just like a parent or guardian displays love and protection for their child, God abounds even more than that in our lives, because He has the resources, wisdom, knowledge and power to do more than we can ask, think or imagine. We are covered by the LORD regarding all aspects of our lives. Nothing about you is insignificant and as a child of covenant you are covered in God’s: 

Love, Grace, Mercy, Increase, Promotion 
Loving Kindness, Joy, Peace, Gifts 
Protection, Healing, Son-Jesus Christ, Redemption 
Forgiveness, Future, Fulfilled Calling for your life, Care 
Peace, Favor, Timing, Relationship 
Promises, Blessings, Rewards, Plan and so much more! 

The Lord completely covers us when we TRUST him completely and know without a doubt that He is our refuge, strength, promise keeper and protection.  In life it is easy to pick up the futile acts of worry, anxiety, fear and doubt but when we completely trust God no matter what is going on in us and around us worry, fear, anxiety and doubt will be forced to leave because our faith in God is greater than any circumstance. We are truly covered by the LORD. 

God knows who we are, what He has created and what we are equipped to accomplish. God is completely aware of our inabilities and He possesses all ability to cover us in every area of our lives.  When you read God’s word let it sink in as a direct promise to you, because that is exactly what it is. God has covered ALL in your life but we are commanded not to worry, not to fear and TRUST God no matter what it looks like. In the natural it may be tough but spiritually and with God’s grace "You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you." (Philippians 4:13).   

Life is full of challenges, choices, changes and characters but remain encouraged today by Psalm 91 that you are completely covered by the LORD in all things regarding you.  To God be the Glory! - Dr. Kennetra A. Bryant

Nowwwwwwww, let's get into today's Word.  Holy Spirit dropped this Wonderful Word in my heart space earlier this week. It's a Beautiful & Loving story that was shared by my Fave Rabbi, Rabbi Yechiel Eckstein from Holy Land Moments.

Loves, I hope it Hits the Spot for You like it did for me.  Take in EVERY Word and Enjoy!!

There is a story told about a little apple tree in a forest of oak trees. Each night, the little tree looks up at the great big oak trees and sees the magnificent stars shining through their branches. From the vantage point of the apple tree, it appears as though the stars are actually hanging from the branches of the oak trees. The apple tree is amazed and she turns to God and asks for stars on her branches, too. “Be patient," God replies.

Every night the apple tree is amazed at the stars, and every day that passes without stars of her own, she is sure that the stars are simply beyond her reach. “Please, God,” she begs at night. “Please give me stars, too!” And God’s usual reply comes, “Be patient, my little one.”

One night, the little apple tree is particularly distraught. “Will I ever get those stars? Are they within my reach?” Just as she starts to despair and believe that the stars are simply beyond her, God sends a great wind. The wind carries a newly formed apple from the branches of the little tree and it falls just beneath her. When the apple falls, it breaks in half, and lo and behold, there is a “star” within. The stars had been hanging from the branches of the little apple tree all along!

The authors of this charming story took advantage of the fact that when we slice an apple horizontally, indeed, the image of a star can be seen. It serves as a great analogy for what the Bible has been telling us for millennia. The heavens are not beyond us somewhere out there beyond our grasp. Holiness, godliness, and spirituality are all within us already. We just need to reveal it.

When you feel unworthy, defeated, or overwhelmed, remember that you are pure holiness at your core. Nothing is beyond our reach; we need only to uncover the light that already shines within.

 "It is not up in heaven, so that you have to ask, “Who will ascend into heaven to get it and proclaim it to us so we may obey it?” Nor is it beyond the sea, so that you have to ask, “Who will cross the sea to get it and proclaim it to us so we may obey it?” No, the word is very near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart so you may obey it." (Deuteronomy 30:12–14)

Well Loves, my Heart and Soul are so very HEAVY with the "stuff" of this world......from the horribleness of Hurricane Harvey; to the devastation of the torrential monsoon rains in Bangladesh, India and Nepal; to Hurricane Irma and other impending Tropical Storms; to the drama in South and North Korea; and to the wickedness of trump and his administration's attempts to end DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals); plus anything else You want to add to the pile.........MY SOUL IS ON OVERLOAD!!

And Family, Y'all know me by now.......when My SOUL is Crying Out for Answers, for Peace, for Comfort.........IT'S TIME TO PRAY!! And because PRAYER is not a new thing for me, and because PRAYER has become a Life Style for me......I KNOW that I KNOW that I KNOW.........#PRAYERWORKS!!

So PLEASE Give Me Your Hands, Bow Your Heads and Close Your Eyes and let's Run Not Walk TOGETHER as His Children to the Mighty Throne of Our Sovereign Lord!!

Father God, We Your Children come Humbly and Boldly on our knees to You Right Now.  We ask You Lord to Hear Us as we Cry out to You for HELP!  HELP Lord God from ALL the "stuff" in this World that we just don't understand.  HELP Lord God for those who are being so horribly affected by Hurricane Harvey with loss of life, homes, pets and peace of mind.  HELP Lord God for those in our world-wide Family who are suffering with no relief from the catastrophic landslides and floods in South Asia.  HELP Lord God for those who fear for their safety as Hurricane Irma surges toward the Caribbean, Florida and the Southeast United States with other Tropical Storms on her heels. HELP Lord God for those who are filled with anxiety and fear regarding the current actions of South and North Korea. HELP Lord God for the downright cruelty of our current Administration in America regarding the Precious LIVES & WELL BEING of our fellow Brothers and Sisters as a result of ending DACA.  We KNOW Jesus these things are NOT of YOU! We KNOW Jesus YOU are a God of Peace, Love, Compassion and Protection! We KNOW we live in a world where evil and wickedness and pain and sorrow exist BUT we Also KNOW that YOU Abba Father are the King and Kings and Lord of Lords and that ALL Must Bow to the Name Of Jesus! 

So El Shaddai (Almighty God), We come to YOU, The ONE who controls Heaven and Earth.  We come to YOU Heavenly Father, Decreeing and Declaring with the Power and Authority that is You in Us, Standing Strong in our Faith KNOWING there is POWER in our Words as We COMMAND WITH YOU Lord for THE MADNESS TO END! 

We come Jesus, Speaking in unison with You, Your Powerful Words of PEACE BE STILL to Hurricane Irma, the Tropical Storms and the torrential rains in Bangladesh, India and Nepal. We Speak with You Jesus, PEACE BE STILL to the hearts and souls still reeling in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey. We Speak with You Jesus, PEACE BE STILL to the noise and threats of war.  We Speak with You Jesus, PEACE BE STILL to the surreal nonsense that's taking place in America, where we should be a Nation who Cares for our Citizens, not Harms or Punishes them because of their ethnicity, religion or the color of their skin. 

Right This Moment.......We Speak with You Jesus.....TO STOP - PUT AN END TO All the "stuff" in our lives that's causing fear, anxiety, pain and loss. We Speak with You Jesus, LIFE & LOVE!!

And Lord God, We Decree and Declare the Mighty PROMISES of Your Word over our lives Right Now: 
"For Nothing Is Impossible with God." (Luke 1:37). 

"And my God shall supply All our needs according to His riches in Glory in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:19). 

"Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.  And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him." (1 John 5:14-15). 

"Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid; for the Lord our God, He is the ONE who goes with you.  He will not leave you nor forsake you." (Deuteronomy 31:6).  

Yes Lord, We Stand STRONG and STEADFAST in our Faith and in the PROMISES of Your Word, KNOWING that You Still Rule and Reign! KNOWING that You are Still In Control, no matter what our current situation or circumstances look like.  KNOWING Daddy God, that You are our "refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will NOT fear." (Psalm 46:1-2) and most importantly that You "God did not give us a spirit of fear but of Power, Love and a Sound Mind." (2 Timothy 1:7)

We Thank You Lord God for Hearing Our Cries for HELP! And We Thank You Jesus that ALL the "stuff" that is NOT of You is Bowing Down, Right this Second to Your Power and Authority!! We Thank You Heavenly Father that our eyes and hearts and souls are NOW focused on YOU and We are Grateful that YOU are already answering our PRAYERS! In the matchless and Mighty Name of Jesus, Our Lord & Saviour.  Amen. Amen. Amen.


Whewee Family!  I know that's a long, doozy of a PRAYER to Our Daddy God but I Thank YOU for Standing In Agreement with Me! Please Know in your Hearts that Our Lord & Saviour has Heard Each and Every syllable.  And Please take time to re-read our PRAYER over the next few days because there is Truly POWER IN PRAYER!! Just like Jesus Promises Us in His Word: "For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them." (Matthew 18:20)

Oh Yeah My Loves!! Jesus is RIGHT HERE WITH US as We PRAY!! And because of His Powerful Presence, I KNOW that I KNOW that I KNOW OUR PRAYERS ARE WORKING and "that God works ALL things together for the good of those who Love Him...." (Romans 8:28)

SHAKE YOUR GROOVE THANG!

Happy Blessed Wednesday Family,

Today's Mona Girl Blog is about one of my FAVE things to do.........DANCE!!!  I've decided that this Summer, I will make it  **My Goal** to go out once a month and Dance the Night Away!!  Whether I'm on Fire Island at Low/High Tea, in The Village, Meatpacking District or Miami............that's one of my Summer 2015 Goals. Who's in with me!?! 

Yeah, *DANCING* is good for the mind, body and soul! It gives you FREEDOM and allows you to release and let your spirit soar, unfettered.  AND being an Old School House Music junkie, whewee!! When the D.J. gets into a groove......I'm good to go for at least 6-8 hours :)

Most of my adult life I lived in Chicago (The Home of House Music) and became a BIG Frankie Knuckles Fan! Awww my mind goes back to the MANY, MANY nights my friends and I set out for The Warehouse in Chicago at 11:00p and walked out the next morning around 6:00a as the sun was rising over the City. Yeah.......#GreatMemories!!

Frankie, born in The Bronx and moved to Chicago, was known as the 'God Father of House Music'.  He set the World on Fire with his music.......nothing but a Gift from God!!  He was truly Blessed and Talented. And when you listen to Frankie's music, YOU ARE INSPIRED.  You feel the passion and love he had for his craft......he was truly musically anointed and he left a deep and lasting mark on the Music Industry.

I say all this to say that *MUSIC* (whatever your Fave genre) is an Awesome way to break out of your comfort zone, leave the drama of the day-to-day, free yourself, let your emotions soar, enjoy time with family/friends, meet new friends and get a great workout :)

OH YEAH! IT'S ON!!

Welllll Loves, Today Holy Spirit's got me in a "I just gotta get this off my chest" kind of mood.  And if you follow me on Twitter @MonaGirlNYC, you'll see that from time to time I tend to be a tad passionate when it comes to injustices and stupidity in Politics, injustices regarding Animal Rights and injustices in Sports! 

I have a compassionate heart for ALL God's Creatures and I just can't tolerate when I see those who feel they have Power in this world, use it against those who are less fortunate or against those who are bold and courageous enough to challenge the status quo. I am ALL about a Good Cause.  And once I go in Prayer with what's being said or done by those who champion the Good Cause Holy Spirit's dropped in my head and heart space.......OH YEAH! IT'S ON!!

I've been sitting back quietly reading the many articles, listening to sports radio, watching the stories on SportsCenter, reading what's been posted on ESPN.com, following the Twitter Feeds........and y'all already know from up top, I'm in a "I just gotta get this off my chest" kind of mood. So here we Go........

Back on October 2, 2016, Colin Kaepernick, the biracial (African-American/White) Quarterback of the San Francisco 49ers decided to kneel during the National Anthem before the Dallas Cowboys Game in Santa Clara, CA. And Whewee! Has that choice from his heart to take a knee as a protest against what he deemed as injustices and wrongdoings in our society along with the horrid cases of police brutality against African-Americans and Minorities in the U.S., opened up a whole new Play Book in his life. I'm not going to get into ALL the many details of his choice to kneel and what folks are saying, you can Google "Colin Kaepernick" and get your fill of the DRAMA but I am led to speak to the fact that because of his choice to kneel in protest for a Cause that he's compassionate about, I like tens of thousands of others, feel he's being blackballed by the National Football League. And if you take the time to do your due diligence, you may arrive at the same conclusion.

Family, as I stated when we started our time together today, I just can't tolerate when I see those who feel they have Power in this world, use it against those who are bold and courageous enough to challenge the status quo, to speak (or in Colin's case to take a silent, non-violent action) in support of a Good and Important Cause. And what I've learned from my experience of coming along side/standing in agreement with folks who society labels as radical, audacious, risk-takers, defiant, loose cannons, over the top, etc. (all names I've been called by the way - LOL!), to champion their Good Cause, they end up emerging from the Drama as heroes, as more than conquerors, as Victors and not Victims! These folks end up shining a Bright Light on Dark injustices; exposing those who are behind the injustice; and making our crazy, messed up world a better place, a more compassionate place, a more loving place for those who are being minimized, targeted and hurt by society's injustices.

Now Loves, you know me by Now and You KNOW when Holy Spirit puts something on my heart that I'm passionate about, I ALWAYS have an Action Plan for us.  So take a look-see at this Amazing Video that a group of Pastors and Leaders created to support Colin and take a major stand against the NFL in its blackballing of Colin.  I so LOVE the fact that it was created by a group of Pastors (and I'll say it again).......once I Pray over an injustice that Holy Spirit drops into my head and heart space......OH YEAH!! IT'S ON!!

And no matter where you are in the world of our Mona Girl Blog Family, you can join me and tens of thousands of others in taking a stand against the National Football League by committing to follow the easy Plan of Action the Pastor's outline in their Awesome Video!!

Well Loves, I come to you today fresh off a Wonderful Holy Release from a not-so-Peaceful environment into a perfectly Peaceful environment. And I must say, I am Happy and Blessed to be right here with You this Wednesday to experience what "thus saith the Lord."

As Holy Spirit was ALL up in my mind last night with today's Mona Girl Blog Word, He brought to my attention that We ALL can experience PEACE in our natural environments despite the circumstances or situation.  Whether sitting in traffic, dealing with a toxic relationship, being bombarded by noise and confusion throughout the day, being around folks who are not Peaceful, being overwhelmed by the world's drama, dealing with natural disasters like storms, etc. In each of these circumstances, We can dig deep and get to a place of *LIFE PEACE*.  Getting our thoughts and minds to a place of PEACE despite the current stuff we are walking through in real time. Getting our minds and hearts to a place of "sleeping in the back of the boat kind of Peace" that our Jesus experienced when His Disciples were freaking out in the midst of the natural Storm (Matthew 4:37-38) Oh Yeah! That's the kind of PEACE I've leaned with the help of Holy Spirit to experience........*LIFE PEACE*. Being at PEACE no matter what's going on in my natural circumstances.  It's not an Instant Manifestation but it is attainable if we keep a positive attitude and remain calm in our hearts and minds.

Ohhhh but Loves.  Holy Spirit brought another kind of PEACE to mind last night that's like NOTHING else on this earth!! It's a PEACE the Apostle Paul speaks of in our lives that goes beyond ANYTHING We can naturally produce on our own. (Philippians 4:7)  It's a PEACE that wayyyyyy surpasses and outweighs *LIFE PEACE*.  It's a PEACE that's anchored deep down in us...at the core of our Being.  It's a PEACE that comes with KNOWING and LOVING and LIVING with Jesus! It's a *SOUL PEACE*. A PEACE that one ups *LIFE PEACE*. A PEACE that is a constant and steadfast by product of a life lived with Jesus as our focus.....Jesus as our priority.....Jesus as our foundation!!

Family, please understand, there's nothing wrong with *LIFE PEACE*. It's a good thing to have but it's finite...it can only take us so far because it's something We Do in our own strength.  But *SOUL PEACE*?!  Whewee! It will take us to destinies and mountain tops with Our Lord Jesus that We could never create or produce on our own because it's a result of HIM Living in US.....it's something We don't Do in our own strength but it's something we Have because of HIS Strength!

Y'all know one of my Fave Mighty Men of God in the Bible is King David!! And Lordy, did King David have lots of stuff (and that's a HUGE understatement) to be a 24/7 disturbance to his *LIFE PEACE*. But because King David was a "Man After God's Own Heart", he spent most of his life (even with all of his foolishness and fleshly shenanigans)  in the place of *SOUL PEACE*.  He had a PEACE that was a constant and steadfast by product of a life lived with Jesus as his focus....Jesus as his priority...Jesus as his foundation!  And because of his *SOUL PEACE* life style, King David penned one of my fave Psalms on PEACE in the Bible.  And if you take a close-look-see, you won't even see the word "PEACE" noted in the Bible Verse. But it's there......it's present in King David's perfectly selected words.....it's present in his passion in the Scripture......it's present in each and every syllable......

"The Lord is my shepherd; 
I shall not want.
He makes me to lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside the still waters.
He restores my soul;
He leads me in the paths of righteousness
For His name's sake.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil;
For You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.

You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
You anoint my head with oil;
My cup runs over.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
All the days of my life;
And I will dwell in the house of the Lord
Forever." (Psalm 23, NKJV)


Oh Yeah! As you can see, the word "PEACE" is no where up in this Powerful Psalm but it radiates, it hollas.....it screams PEACE!! And Loves, this is where I'm hoping We can get to, stay and experience 24/7 just like King David.........a life of Nothing But God All Up In The Mix *SOUL PEACE*!!! These are the kind of folks I want to have in my Tribe......I want to be a part of my Life Journey.....folks anchored and living out lives from a place of *SOUL PEACE*.

So when folks ask or We inquire of ourselves, GOT PEACE? We can unequivocally say with certainty and assurance........YES, I DO.......I'VE GOT *SOUL PEACE*!!
