I was at my son’s 6th Birthday party when I heard about the horrific attacks in Paris. As I read about the details and watched the news footage, I was heartsick and distraught. I grieve for the loved ones of all those whose lives were taken and send prayers and love and grace.

I was going to post about it that night, but something made me pause. I didn’t want to post a tribute and then forget about it as I got back into the rhythm of my life here in Australia.

My thoughts:

I don’t just grieve for the victims families, but for the perpetrators as well. I grieve that people choose a life of hatred and violence, that we become so hell bent on destroying each other in fights over land and religion and freedom. Fights fueled by fear and ignorance.

I grieve for Beirut, for Baghdad, for Syria… for the corners of the earth some of us are more unwilling to call our own (like we have Paris), for the lands and people some would like to forget and ignore. I grieve for the refugees locked away in a detention not fit for any human soul, let alone those who have run from a terror that we cannot even begin to imagine.

I grieve for every family who has had a loved one murdered, taken by drugs, lost to suicide.
I grieve for the lonely and abandoned.
I grieve for every wife and husband who gets beaten day in, day out.
I grieve for every child that hides under their bed at night fearing what the dark brings.
I grieve for governments and corporations who lift up profit over life.
I grieve for a world who cannot for the love of God see that it is destroying itself day by day by day.

It expresses itself violently throughout the world like it has in Paris, Beirut, and in Bagdad. But it’s source resides everywhere.

It lives within us all.

The notion of separateness, that some are better than others, and that there is not ‘enough’ to go around… these are embryos of chaos and terror.

We can send love to Paris, Beirut and Baghdad, they need to feel our love and support. But we can be part of the change here by loving our enemies, praying for our persecutors, forgiving those that want to destroy us and seeking peace with our neighbours.

I know that there are grey areas, it’s a tough issue and with no clear answers. But the responsibility for change doesn’t rest with our governments. It is our responsibility.

And we can make a difference.

And we should.

Family, as you can tell, Holy Spirit has Me in PRAISE Over Drive!! Before we get into today's Message, I MUST...I GOTTA take a few moments to CONGRATULATE My Mighty Mets Men!! WOW! We were in the World Series Y'all!! THE WORLD SERIES!! So PROUD, PROUD, PROUD of the Talented, Gifted and BLESSED New York Mets Men!! Thank YOU for an Amazing, Exciting, Can't Make This Stuff Up 2015 Season! You got me ALL excited and amped up for Spring Training.  Can't WAIT to see what You've got in store for US next year.  Oh Yeah!! Thank You Lord!! #JustWatch!! #Bright,BrightFuture!! #LGM!!

OK!!  NOW, it's time for today's Mona Girl Blog, which is about NATURE.  Holy Spirit's been drawing me more and more into His Presence in Nature.  After all, Our Mighty Lord God created the Heavens and the Earth by **SPEAKING** them into existence......Whewee! Now that's what I call a Powerful Mouthful of Postitivity!

"When he spoke, the world was created; at his command everything appeared." (Psalm 33:9, GNT)

"In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth." (Genesis 1:1, NIV)

So when I'm chill-laxin outside, inside looking out the window, walking down the street, laying in bed drifting off to sleep, running errands, sitting at the ball park, on the golf course, etc., etc.......I've become uber aware of Nature and its Awesome, Powerful, Magnificence in our daily lives.  From the birds I hear chirping throughout the day; to the squirrels I see in the park; to the brilliant blue sky with its puffy white clouds; to the sound of the wind rustling through the trees; to the stunning colors of the leaves as they change from bright green to shades of deep rust, orange and gold; to the fireball orange sun, lavender and pink sky at sunset; to the Awesomeness of when Nature just stops and gives us a few seconds of absolute Silence......Oh Yeah!! Talk about "Seeing God in EVERYTHING"........NATURE, His Creation, is just AMAZING!!

What's so cool is that each time you are Awed by Nature, it's NEVER in the same way.  When you take Notice of Nature, when you're really aware....its daily Magnificence is different each time.  No two birds songs are alike, no cloud is identical in size/shape, no breeze feels the same on our skin, no crystalized snowflake is exactly the same design........God continues to show up and show off His Mighty and Powerful Hand in NATURE!!

As I sit here penning His Mona Girl Blog, the trees are doing a beautiful song and dance with the sound of the wind rustling through the leaves and the back and forth swaying of the branches....it's ALL in Perfect Harmony....and ONLY Our Sovereign Lord could orchestrate this Beautiful vision that is Blessing my heart and soul Right Now!!

Yeah, Yeah, I can hear you: "But Mona, I live in a Big City with lots of traffic, non-stop construction, off the chart noise....very un-Nature-like surroundings".  Well Loves, I hear ya loud and clear but ALL the stuff that I described above, is exactly what I've experienced in NYC.  Walking down the street, gazing out the window, taking a moment to chill in the Park or looking up in the sky.  So No Matter where you live, Big City or Small Town........NATURE is Always on display for Us, we just have to take a moment to STOP, LOOK and LISTEN! And when We do, WOW!! We will get an eye and ear full.....We will get an Awesome shot to our souls.........We will experience Our Heavenly Father speaking to us, touching  us, teaching us in a one-on-one, take your Breath away experience through His Creation....NATURE!!

"If you want to learn, then go ask the wild animals and the birds, the flowers and the fish. Any of them can tell you what the Lord has done.  Every living creature is in the hands of God." (Job 12:7-10, CEV)

Family, as we close out our time together, I encourage You to take a pause today, tomorrow...Right Now and just take in NATURE around You.  Stop, Look and Listen for a second in your busy day to the Awesomeness of Our Lord speaking to YOU through His Creation......through NATURE! Oh Yeah, Your day will NOT be the same, I can promise you that!! You will be fueled and filled...Mind, Body and Soul!

THE DREADED "G" WORD :(

Happy Blessed Wednesday Family,

Welllll today's Mona Girl Blog is going to be an "Ouchie" Word from Our Lord.....so I'm just getting you prepared (smile).  For the last few weeks, Holy Spirit's been nudging and nudging and nudging me to open up and have Him pen this Message to US but I've chosen to "respectfully" side step the nudges........but NOW is NOW so here we go....

"GOSSIP" as defined by Dictionary.com is: "idle talk or rumor, especially about the personal or private affairs of others". And We ALL do IT, I mean look at the majority of Gossip Shows, Magazines, Web Sites, Talk Shows, etc. that we are exposed to EVERY day besides the Gossip WE do on our own in our private lives.  I was so into the TV concept of Gossip that back in the day I LOVED to watch All My Children....and when I was a Freshman in College, I actually scheduled my classes around the Noon Time addictive Soap Opera. And like Me, who doesn't just "glance" (not **Purchase** y'all) but "glance" at the Celebrity/Hollywood Gossip rags in the check-out line at the Market or Drug Store.  Yeah, raising my hand in this Class.....GUILTY as charged!

Hmmmm, but it's All Fun & Games until the Gossip becomes Personal....until the Gossip is focused on US. And to be honest, that's when the Gossip also becomes hurtful and down right cruel......especially if being delved by folks who we thought we could Trust.......folks who we thought were our Friends.......folks we thought had our backs.  Oh Yeah...NOT Fun Times.

I have an AMAZING Friend who Truly, Truly walks with Our Lord day in, day out....and her standard reply is Always the same about Gossip: "If they did it to Jesus, YOU are in good company."  And Yes, she's got a good point because Our Loving Lord and Savior took being Gossiped about to a Whole New Level! And He NEVER retaliated, He NEVER got mad, He NEVER lifted His hand to strike the Gossips, He NEVER ran and tattled to His Father, He just consistently, humbly and Lovingly turned the other cheek. Whewee!! Mona's not quite there yet - LOL!!!

There are lots of Bible Verses about Gossip.  Our Heavenly Father is NOT a big fan of what WE see as "idle" chatter and behavior....and you can see in the following Scriptures HE does NOT mince Words.......there's NO gray area:

"Don't spread gossip and rumors. Don't just stand by when your neighbor's life is in danger. I am God." (Leviticus 19:16,MSG)

"Let no unwholesome word proceed from your mouth, but only such a word as is good for edification according to the need of the moment, so that it will give grace to those who hear." (Ephesians 4:29, NASB)

"If anyone among you thinks to be religious and does not bridle his tongue, but deceives his own heart, his religion is vain." (James 1:26, JUB)

Oh YES!! That Last Scripture is a doooooozie, because (from personal experience) most of the folks who are Gossiping.......smh.......Claim to be Church Folks Y'all!!! Yeah.........NOT good....NOT GOOD at all.

As I get older and my walk becomes closer and more intimate with My Lord, I've found myself asking/doing MORE of this from my Abba Father cuz I DO NOT want to go down the slippery Gossip Trail.....I DO NOT want to offend/hurt/be cruel to my fellow humans with my words.....I DO NOT want others to feel like I've felt.....I DO NOT want to cause Our Lord to curl down His lips at me...I try to ALWAYS walk in a way that makes HIM smile:

"Guard my mouth, O Eternal One; control what I say.  Keep a careful watch on EVERY word I speak." (Psalm 141:3, VOICE w/tad Mona Emphasis in caps)

Gossip, Gossips, Gossiping, Gossiper, Gossiped.....no matter how it's spelled or what tense it's used.....NOT a good thing to Do or Be. So Mona's going to continue to do My Best (give me Strength Holy Spirit) to stay away from the Dreaded "G" Word, to stay away from folks who do the "G" thing and PRAY for folks who are caught up in the Dreaded "G" cycle as a way of life.  NOT Healthy, NOT Nice, NOT Loving, NOT Helpful, NOT Attractive/Sexy, NOT Positive, NOT Trustworthy, NOT Peaceful, NOT Harmless, and most importantly, NOT PLEASING TO OUR LORD!  Oh Yeah, remember Family, Our Sovereign Lord is ***Omniscient***......HE knows, sees and is aware of Everything!!

Lately, Holy Spirit's been reminding me of how **IMPORTANT** it is to Walk Out Our PURPOSE in Life with PASSION!! So today's Mona Girl Blog is about just that.

I Pray ALL of US continue to Walk Out Our PURPOSE with PASSION.......and if You're not there yet, I PRAY You will Seek and Ask Our Lord to help You, guide You to His Purpose for Your life.  He has a Purpose for ALL of us.  Mona's Purpose: To be His Hands & Feet on Earth, telling Everyone about Our Awesome Lord!! No matter if they want to listen or not, that's what I'm here for and what He's designed me to do. And NOW that I'm fully His, Locked In and Onboard with HIS PLAN........OH YEAH!!!  I LOVE my Purpose and I do it with Passion!

Loves, as We continue to Walk Out Our PURPOSE in Life with PASSION.....We must Always desire it; want it; crave it; study it; learn it; eat, drink and sleep it; share it; Believe in it; LOVE it.......cuz Family, there's NOTHING, NOTHING, and I mean N-O-T-H-I-N-G like Walking out.... #Daily......Your God-given PURPOSE with PASSION.....Living Passionately On Purpose!! It makes You Happy, Blesses Others, Gives You Peace and Gives HIM....Our Awesome Lord....the Glory!!

Second off, here's a Beautiful Message I received via email from a Mighty Woman of God.  You may have received it yourself in the past, it's a popular email to forward. Family, when you read it (and I recommend a few reads), let the words sink deep into your Heart.  We are so VALUABLE to Our Lord, Others and Ourselves.  And if you don't see yourself this way......it's High Time that you start seeing yourself this way!!! (Thanks Auntie Alma!)

Sit With Me......for a Moment!!

There comes a time in your life, when you walk away from all the drama and people who create it.  You surround yourself with people who make you laugh. Forget the bad, and focus on the good. LOVE the people who treat you right, PRAY for the ones who don't.  Life is too short to be anything but happy. Falling down is a part of life, getting back up is living!!

Third off, Our Lord's been speaking to me lately about "Shining Stars".....and leading me to Scriptures about His Shining Star Saints.  I LOVE me some Daniel and here's a Scripture Holy Spirit led me to over the weekend.....SHINE STARS....SHINE FOR OUR LORD!!

"Men and women who have lived wisely and well will shine brilliantly, like the cloudless, star-strewn night skies.  And those who put others on the right path to life will glow like stars forever." (Daniel 12:3, MSG)

Fourth off, one of my Fave people in the World shared this pic quote with me and it's been making its presence felt DEEEEEEP in my Soul since!! (Thanks Westley!!)

Family, I hope the "stuff" that's been knocking around in Mona's Mind and Soul causes you to take a moment....take a chill.....take a breath.....to reflect, to search your own Mind and Soul, to gain some Perspective, to have some Peace as You walk out this thing called LIFE we're doing every, single, second of the day!! As We know, it can get a tad rocky and rough sometimes but when we STOP and SLOW DOWN long enough to listen to our inner voice, our spirit man and woman, our heart beat...........we can truly, #FRFR, holding on TIGHTLY to Our Lord's Mighty Hand, do this thing called LIFE!! And speaking of "doing this thing called LIFE", I think this fits Perfectly here as I end our time together today.  Y'all KNOW Our Heavenly Father talks to Us in the ordinary stuff that we see Every day....even at Home Depot.......LOL!!!

It is also a Spiritual Teaching website.  All written and shared by Anointed Saints throughout the world.  I ALWAYS get my Holy Fill when I spend time on this Heavenly site. **PARABLE OF THE PENCIL**

The Pencil Maker took the pencil aside, just before putting him into the box.  "There are 5 things you need to know," he told the Pencil.  "Before I send you out into the world. Always remember them and never forget, and you will become the best Pencil you can be."

*One: You will be able to do many great things, but only if you allow yourself to be held in Someone's hand.

*Two: You will experience a painful sharpening from time to time, but you'll need it to become a better Pencil.

*Three: You will be able to correct any mistakes you might make.

*Four: The most important part of you will always be what's inside.

*And Five: On every surface you are used on, you must leave your mark.  No matter what the condition, you must continue to write.

The Pencil understood and promised to remember, and went into the box with purpose in its heart.


Now replacing the place of the Pencil with You. Always remember them and never forget, and you will become the best Person you can be.

Family, as we end our time together today, Holy Spirit put on my heart to Pray with You.  So please give me your hands, bow your head and close your eyes..............

Father God, I come humbly to Your throne of Grace right now in Prayer for ALL Your sons and daughters.  We Thank You Lord that You have a Mighty Divine Plan for our Lives. A Plan of Purpose and Destiny.  We Thank You Lord that this is Your Plan A and that it is THE BEST for Us. We Thank You Lord that You know our Every thought and that You know our Hearts. We want to be Used Mightily by You and We want to be Blessed Mightily by You as well.  Thank You Lord for Your Patience with Us as we Walk out our Lives.  Thank You for being Our Loving Shepherd, guiding Us and keeping Us on the right path.  Please Lord, continue to Bless Us, continue to Encourage,  Mold and Shape us into Who YOU need us to be so we can be a Blessing to You, our Family, our Friends and our World. Thank You Lord for Your Steadfast Love and Peace.  Thank you Lord for Your Plan and Purpose for our lives.  And under Your Gentle and Kind Hand, may we continue to learn and grow into the Special, Blessed and Loving Men and Women You have ordained and gifted us to be.
