BEYOND THE GAME......BEYOND WORDS!!

Whewee!! Today, Holy Spirit STILL has me a tad overwhelmed and emotional from the
Baseball Game that transcended Baseball on Monday evening......My New York Mets vs. the Miami Marlins!

It was MORE than a Baseball Game, it was a Celebration of Life and the Presence of the Lord, Our Heavenly Father, was ALLLLLL ova, up and in Marlins Park! I watched the Game Live on TV, can't even begin to Imagine what it felt like to be sitting in the ballpark, watching this God-Ordained, Miracle unfold! YES! Our Heavenly Father and His Beautiful, Strong, Gifted and Humble Angel - Jose Fernandez were In The House!! LARGE & IN CHARGE!

It's NOW Wednesday and I Still can't shake Monday evening's events. As I was falling asleep Monday night, Holy Spirit kept bringing to my mind (front and center), Jose Fernandez's Amazing, Beyond Life Story (and so many others like him) who STEPPED OUT IN FAITH TO LIVE THEIR DREAM of Playing Baseball in the Big Leagues in the US!  Jose Abreu, Chicago White Sox; Yasiel Puig, Los Angeles Dodgers; Aroldis Chapman, Chicago Cubs; Yoenis Cespedes of my Beloved Metsies and many many more!

During Monday's Game, when the Announcers/Reporters referred to Jose Fernandez, and so many times before when describing the Now MLB Players who've defected from Cuba, I keep hearing the same things: "He plays with such Passion, such Joy, he truly has a Genuine Love for the Game. Nothing seems to rattle him. He comes up Big in critical situations, He's a Game Changer. He's so Calm and Confident. He's had a major impact on the Game and how it's played."

Well, of COURSE Jose played with Joy and Passion for the Game he LOVED! Of COURSE, Yo comes up BIG in Critical Situations. Of COURSE these Men are Game Changers!! Look at what they ENDURED, SACRIFICED, WALKED OUT IN **REAL TIME** TO EVEN GET TO THE STATES!!

For Jose, Three, THREE attempted defections from Cuba that landed him at 15 years old in a Cuban Prison! Then saving his Mother who went overboard while on the boat coming to the US!! Yoenis' warrior-like journey and his families "horribly-gone-wrong", death defying journey to join him!!  Each of these Men, These COURAGEOUS MEN, and so many others like them, have incredible, Nothing But God Testimonies of their Journeys to America!!

NOT being able to say Good-bye to their Families and Friends, NOT knowing what would happen to their Families they left behind, NOT knowing WHEN if EVER they would be able to return to their home land Cuba, NOT knowing what lied ahead of them on their Life or Death Journey, NOT KNOWING anything but the aching deep in their Hearts and Souls for a Better Life for them and their Families, and to LIVE THEIR DREAM OF BEING A MLB PLAYER!!

When you WALK THROUGH what these Men and their Families have WALKED THROUGH......when YOU **SURVIVE**.....when YOU SEE God SHOW UP BIG & BOLD IN YOUR LIFE TO KEEP YOU, SPARE YOU, GUIDE YOU, COMFORT YOU, PROVIDE FOR YOU, **BLESS YOU**!!!

OH YEAH!! Coming up to the plate in a Baseball Game in the 9th Inning with Bases Loaded, Tied Score and hitting a Grand Slam........or Pitching Your BEST GAME and Breaking Franchise and MLB Records EACH TIME you take the mound.....or having to face the media, not speaking Good English and Still NEVER being short for Words of Wisdom........or having to answer the haters who say your ego is out of control, that you "show up" other players with your enthusiastic, flamboyant style of Play.......Oh Yeah!! No Problem, No Worries, No Stress......PIECE OF CAKE!! IS THAT ALL YA GOT?!?  NEXT!!!!!

What we, as Americans, need to remember when we see these Courageous, Bold and FREE Spirited Men (from Cuba, Latin America) is that WE WERE BORN HERE!  We were BLESSED to be birthed on American soil.  These Men and soooooo many of our Brothers and Sisters all over this World, had to ESCAPE to Get Here! Had to LIVE and PERSEVERE through things, conditions, circumstances, *Life Stuff* WE can't even begin to imagine!! Had to wake up each day wondering how much more money will I need to pay the smugglers, the "escorts"........how to get my Family with me once I am FREE....Who can I Really TRUST...am I SURE I'm making the right decision.....will my DREAM come true.......will I spend the rest of my life in prison if I don't make it......WILL I DIE TRYING?!?  Yeah Loves, These are just some of the gut-wrenching. bigger-than-life questions YOU and I will NEVER, EVER have to ask ourselves!! Because WE WERE BORN HERE!!

So Family, as I close out today's Mona Girl Blog.......you can tell I feel very passionate about this Message! Thank You Holy Spirit!  It's near and dear to my Heart what these Courageous Men and Women and their Families have Endured, Sacrificed , Exhibited Walk On Water Faith to get HERE.....to the Land of the Free and the Brave!

And I get why they walk with such Freedom, such Boldness, such God-Confidence!! I get why they are Game Changers, not only in Baseball but in Life!!  I Get It! I See It! Cuz, Family, when you Walk Through the Valley of the Shadow of Death and come out **HIS**....COME OUT **HIS**!!! You are a Bright Light that Nothing or No One can extinguish!! You Truly (Hallelujah!) are Living (Thank You Jesus!) an "All Things Are Possible" Life. Whewee!! Glory to God!!

Watching these COURAGEOUS Men and Women on their Bigger-Than-Life Platforms, move with such Grace and Humility, I don't judge them or question their Gifts, their Talents, their ABSOLUTE JOY FOR LIFE! And I hope, when you Stop and Ponder, You will also not question but CELEBRATE LIFE with them....let their infectious Love, Genuineness, Authenticity, Comfortable in their Own Skin Behavior over take YOU!! Let it Consume YOU!! Oh YEAH Family! What a Wonderfully Magnificent, REAL Way to LIVE!

INTERESTING PEOPLE EVERYWHERE - EVERYONE HAS A STORY

Every person on this planet has a story to tell, something that makes them unique adding to the whole.

It's easy to forget sometimes that everyone has a story to tell if we take the time to listen. We are so accustomed to hearing the stories of people in the news that we sometimes lose track of the fact that the random stranger on the bus also has a fascinating story about where they came from and how they got to be where they are. The sheer variety of paths taken in this world, from farmers to CEOs to homeless people to world travelers, is indicative of how much we can learn from each individual. Sometimes the shy, quiet person at work has the most amazing life story and the biggest dreams, it is up to us to take the time to find out. 

Some people travel a path of wealth and privilege, while others struggle with only themselves to rely on, and both have great stories to tell. Each person learns lessons, makes choices, and develops a unique perspective, which only they can claim and share. Even two people who have had very similar lives will have slightly different experiences, leading them to a different point of view, so each person remains a treasure trove waiting to be explored. When we take the time to ask questions and listen, we find that every person has a fascinating story to tell and an utterly unique perspective from which to tell it. 

Bearing this in mind, we have the opportunity to approach the world around us in a new way. There is never any reason to be bored at a party, or on the bus, or in a conversation with a stranger. When we retain the spark of curiosity and the warmth required to open someone up, we always have in front of us the makings of a great story. All we have to do is ask.

You KNOW Each and Every one of Us by name......You KNOW the Exact Number of Hairs on Our Heads......YOU KNOW US INSIDE & OUT because YOU Made Us in Your Image! So I come today saying THANK YOU Lord for what You are Doing in Our Lives. THANK YOU Lord that We are growing closer and closer and more intimately connected with YOU every second of every day. THANK YOU Abba Father for Your Love, Mercy, Grace, Kindness, Gentleness, Discipline and FAVOR in Our Lives! THANK YOU Father God for the Talents and Gifts You've Blessed Us with so that we may Bless Others and Be Your Light!  You KNOW what Seasons We are growing and walking through because YOU either Ordained It, are Allowing It or Stepping into It to Help Us if we've created our own chaos...our own mess..bringing the Good out of the Bad. Happy Blessed Wednesday Family,

Holy Spirit dropped a Pic Quote in my lap over the weekend and it's been Riding Shotgun ever since. Posted it to my Facebook Page, Twitter and Google+.  Just can't get it out of my Head and Heart sooooooo guess what?!? YEAH!! Posting it here, this Wednesday, for our Mona Girl Blog Family.

Before I share the Pic Quote, want to share what Holy Spirit put on my Heart when I first read it. For those of You who read what "Thus Saith the Lord" every Wednesday on Mona Girl Blog, it's clear I've had some "Prickly Seasons" in my life (smile). But It's ALL Good because these "Prickly Seasons" have been Required, Necessary, Essential, Right On Time, in Equipping Me for My Life Purpose. So I am NOT Complaining I am Praising Our Daddy God for His God-Ordained Lessons. Whewee!!

Anywho, as I opened my email over the weekend, and as I was getting ready to delete a file - BAM!! There it WAS, Big, Bold and in Real Time!! I had to read it a few times to Reallly let the words sink in.....and as they did.......Deeep into my Heart and Soul.......with Tears of LOVE streaming down my cheeks.....I said out loud: "Yes Lord.  I will continue to PRAY For & FORGIVE Them ALL.......no matter what".

Family, As YOU Know....when life gets a tad gnarly and We, for whatever reason, are Living and Growing Through Prickly Seasons, it will involve other folks as well. Folks (family, friends, strangers, etc.) who will either come along side us and Understand, Encourage,Help, Speak Holy Wisdom (not theirs y'all but the Lord's Wisdom).....or come along side us with Drama, Judgement, Complaints, Negativity, Disrespect, all the while passing the pitcher of Hater-Aid round to others to join in to toast our demise.  When This is what they should, In Brotherly and Sisterly Love Be Doing:

"Therefore comfort each other and edify one another, just as you are also doing." (1 Thessalonians 5:ll, NKJV)

But Loves, Again, It's ALL Good because It's ALL Required, Necessary and Essential to What God's Doing in Our Lives, to What God's Allowing in Our Lives, to What God's Orchestrating in Our Lives for Our BIG NEXT...for Our Life Purpose! And We MUST Remember: We Serve a Great, Good God and His Hand of Correction and Love and Discipline (no matter how cray cray it looks) is Always for Our Best!

So I say ALL this to say......Not Everyone will Celebrate and/or Cry with us as we Grow, Navigate and Move through our "Prickly Season" nor will Everyone UNDERSTAND!! And I've learned that some folks tried to get as far, far away from me during my Season of Prickliness....cuz they didn't' want to go through the Growth Process themselves, Put in the Time to get Equipped and were Scurred....so the further away from me the better and sadly the further away from a Life of Authenticity, Transparency and Freedom (smile).  And some of You KNOW first-hand, because You've Walked the Walk....it takes time, effort, tears, humbling of pride, dying to self, not all fun & games stuff to pay the Costly Tolls on this "Yes-Lord-Send-Me-Road"...No E-ZPass allowed.

"But the gate to life is narrow and the way that leads to it is hard, and there are few people who find it." (Matthew 7:14)

But Ohhhhhhhh FAMILY.....Who We Become, Who We Are, and Whose We Are after our Prickly Seasons?!?  PRICELESS!

"But he knows the way that I take; when he as tested me, I will come forth as gold." (Job 23:10, NIV)

"I know how great this makes you feel, even though you have to put up with every kind of aggravation in the meantime.  Pure gold put in the fire comes out of it proved pure; genuine faith put through this suffering comes out proved genuine. When Jesus wraps this all up, it's your faith, not your gold, that God will have on display as evidence of His Victory." (1 Peter 1:6-7, MSG, emphasis added).

OK!!  OK!! I can just hear you......"Enough Mona!! And SHOW US THE PIC QUOTE ALREADY!!!" LOL!! Sorry Family, I just get soooo fired up when I think about **Us Decreasing so HE can Increase in Our Lives!!**

And Loves, PLEASE join Me in PRAYING FOR & FORGIVING THOSE Who don't Understand, Who would rather gossip about Our God-Ordained Journey than come along side, Who may be Afraid to take the Plunge towards Freedom and Authenticity and Who sadly have Decided it's easier to remain on the Shore than Step out into the Deep with Us and Jesus.....and to LIVE, Really LIVE, in the "ecstasy of spiritual liberty" (Yeah! "ecstasy of spiritual liberty"....That's God Stuff from "Small Straws in a Soft Wind" by Marsha Burns).
