SHARING..............#FoodForYourSoul!!

Happy Blessed Wednesday Family,

Today, Holy Spirit has me sharing with You another Mighty Read from the wise and wonderful Rabbi Yechiel Eckstein entitled Speak Up and Help Others.

Oh Yeah Family!!  I encourage you to turn off ALL distractions and let this word Our Lord spoke through Rabbi Eckstein cause you to see things differently from here on out......let this word cause you to look at others differently.....let this word cause you to ACT differently...let this word CHANGE YOU!! Sooooo enough of Mona's intro........here we go.......

Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy. — Proverbs 31:9

I recently watched an extremely powerful clip about our daily perception of life. The short video begins with a young businessman pulling out of his driveway when a young boy passes by on his skateboard causing the man to stop short.

Throughout the rest of the clip, we hear this man’s inner monologue beginning with “Every time I pull out, that kid is always in the way!”

We hear his thoughts about how bad the traffic is, his inner protest when a woman pulls into the parking spot he was waiting for. We see the man enter a coffee shop and hear his frustration when as he is about to order his coffee, a man cuts in front of him and asks for a cookie.

As the man sits to wait for his order, a mysterious man appears with an eyeglasses case. On it are the words “Get Service.” The man certainly wants service, so he puts the glasses on.

These “magical glasses” give him insight into those around him. As he looks at the people in the shop, phrases like “fighting addiction” or “never had a friend” appear next to them. The man who asked for the cookie is sitting with his young son and the words “just lost his job” are visible to the businessman. Startled, the man leaves the shop.

As he is leaving, he sees the same woman who took his spot and the words “grieving her best friend” appear. As the man arrives home, the same kid is blocking his driveway again. This time the words “just needs someone who cares” appear. Taking the glasses off, the man finally gets it. He goes over to the boy, gives him a high-five and starts up a conversation.

The moral of the story: Everyone is fighting some sort of battle beneath the surface; we need to judge favorably and be of service.

In Proverbs we read, “Speak up and judge fairly.” So many of us go through life expecting to be served. We are annoyed when things don’t go away, frustrated when people get in our way. But Scripture is teaching us to give people the benefit of the doubt and, instead of expecting service, to be of service. We need to speak up and find out what’s going on beneath the surface instead of making false judgment calls. We need to take the time to talk with others and offer words of encouragement. Spend a moment to ask someone if everything is all right.

As we go out today, let’s put on our “Get Service glasses.” We might not see the reason for another person’s actions, but it will help us to look at one another in a different light and look for ways to be of service to those we meet.

Awwww.......Breathing in Randomness :)

Happy Blessed Wednesday Family,

Wellll............today's Mona Girl Blog is just like the title says........Breathing in Randomness :)

While sitting at my Gate, waiting for my Flight on American (the ONLY airline Mona flies), Holy Spirit led my eyes to a large advertisement promoting American Airlines Vacations. And up in the right-hand corner, in bold  was printed: Relax, Refuel, Recharge...........

Hmmmmm. As I read those "3" words.....Relax, Refuel, Recharge over and over...literally committing them to memory and feeling the rhythm of the words as they penetrated my soul....a PEACE came over my entire body.  I was experiencing in REAL TIME the soaking of Relax, Refuel, Recharge.  Oh Yeah! I hear you Lord........being at this stage in my life, at this exact moment in time.......this is Exactly what I am Needing to do........what My Heavenly Father is Instructing me to do......and because I am *HIS*, because I Do what HE says..........I am walking out, Relax, Refuel, Recharge at His daily guidance and direction.

From the Prayer requests I receive from our Mona Girl Blog Family from ALL over Our World (Thank you Jesus for the Blessing of our Mona Girl Family in Germany, Syria, Poland, China, Brazil, Ukraine, Russia, Portugal, Cuba, Nigeria, India, United States and beyond...), I can venture to say these "3" words are something We ALL should pause, take a Selah moment, slow down for a tad, take our hands off the steering wheel (btw, we shouldn't even be driving, we should be in the back seat with Daddy God Driving!!)........to Relax, Refuel, Recharge.

After all, we Serve, Believe In, Worship and LOVE a Heavenly Father who reminds Us that this is Who HE Is in our Daily Lives.......

"My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest." (Exodus 33:14, NIV)

"If you are tired from carrying heavy burdens, come to me and I will give you rest." (Matthew 11:28, CEV)

So Loves, again I say.........I urge you.......I stand in agreement with you to Relax, Refuel, Recharge. As we enter Spring Time and then move into the Season of Summer with warm weather, starry nights, outings with Family and Friends, BASEBALL Season (smile), longer days, AMAZING sunsets, walking 36 holes on the golf course, a picnic in Central Park, chill-laxin on the beach watching the ocean, swinging on the swings at your local park with your kids, hanging with your doggie at the doggie park, going for a long bike ride, running a few miles at sunrise, dining al fresco at your fave restaurant, fishing with grandpa on a crystal blue lake.......or whateva Spring and Summer mean to You............let's make it Our Mission to breathe in MORE of Life and All of its awesome sights, wonders and splendor.....let's do Our BEST to really See and Listen to Others while We live and operate from the foundation of these "3" words.......Relax, Refuel, Recharge.

"My soul, rest thou only in God, for my hope is from him." (Psalm 62:5, JUB)

"This is how we know that we belong to the truth and how we set our hearts at rest in his presence." (1 John 3:19, NIV)

Family, as we continue Breathing in Randomness.......I was Blessed with the opportunity to watch on television, the opening ceremony and first pitch of yesterday's HISTORIC Baseball Game in Havana, Cuba at Estadio Latinoamericano Stadium where the Tampa Bay Rays played the Cuban National Team in the first exhibition game between a Major League Team and the Cuban National Team in 17 years!!!  How Exciting!!!

And with "17" Biblically meaning Victory!!.........that's Exactly what took place yesterday afternoon in Cuba!  With ALL of what our two Countries have been through....the many, many, many decades of suffering of the Cuban people, the life and death decisions of the Cuban Players who courageously defected to the U.S. to follow their dream of playing in the Major Leagues and to make a better life for themselves and their families, the anguish and isolation of their families left behind, the desperate HOPE that they will be able to some day return to their home, Cuba and their families, the HOPE of the Cuban people to someday live lives of Prosperity and Freedom............Oh Yeah!  What a Day....What a Life Event that touched sooooo many lives in such a Positive and Transforming way!

And as Our President Barack Obama so eloquently and succinctly said: "One of the things we share is our national pastimes -- la pelota. As the quote from "Field of Dreams" goes, "the one constant through all the years....has been baseball."

We, as a People of all colors of the rainbow, united in Compassion and Love.......took a Victorious Step in the right direction yesterday by way of the Amazing vehicle of Sports....by way of Major League Baseball! #Can'tWaitToVisitCuba!

So Loves, thank you for dropping by today........I enjoyed our time of Breathing in Randomness and I remind and encourage Us to walk out the rest of this Holy Week, Good Friday, Resurrection Sunday and Beyond from a foundation of and with a commitment to.........Relax, Refuel, Recharge.

Family, I leave You with this special Easter Season/Resurrection Sunday Prayer from "Prime Time With God" from www.churchgrowth.org of what We should DO as a result of what Our Savior Jesus radically and lovingly and unselfishly DID for Us...........

Dear God, You are my hope. Thank you for paying my debts upon that cross. Forgive me for the sins that I am holding onto; I turn towards you in repentance. I lay down all burdens and shame that I am carrying from my past so that I may live fully for you. I welcome your Holy Spirit to dwell within me. Lead me to you Lord. In your name I pray, Amen.

LET GO AND LET GOD
(by R.K. Cecil)

The old world tells us to take control
As we navigate life's sea,
But if we give it all to God,
So much smoother life would be.

With little faith we hold on tight,
For even though we know
It's best for God to take control,
It's hard to let it go.

God, as Captain of our lives
Will steer us from the shoals
And guide us on to safety
If we hand Him the controls.

Don't try to sail life's vessel,
But with faith and without fear,
Let your hands fall from the wheel,
Let go and let God steer.

The Ending Is Always Better

The end of a matter is better than its beginning, and patience is better than pride.
— Ecclesiastes 7:8

A story is told about a man whose horse ran away. His neighbors came to console him and told him how sorry they were that this bad thing had happened. The man replied, “Who says it’s a bad thing? Maybe it is, maybe it’s not.”

A few days later, the horse returned along with a beautiful black mare. The neighbors came over to congratulate the man who now had two horses instead of one. They said what a good thing had happened to him. The man replied, “Who says this is a good thing? Maybe it is, maybe it’s not.”

The next day, the man’s son was riding the new horse when he fell off and broke his leg. This time the neighbors were consoling the man once more saying how he was right — what they had thought was good was really bad. The man again replied, “Who says it’s bad? Maybe it is and maybe it’s not.”

A few days later, representatives of the Czar came to round up all the young boys to serve in the army. In those days, that was usually a death sentence. They didn’t take the man’s son because his leg was broken. When the neighbors came over that day, the man declared, “Now I know that my horse running away was a good thing!”

In Ecclesiastes we read, “The end of a matter is better than its beginning.” The Jewish sages explain the reason why the end is better than the beginning because only at the end can we truly know if something is good or bad. In the beginning, something that looks bad may turn out good while something that looks good can turn out bad. But then again, like the story, we know that things can become good again. It’s only at the end that we know for sure.

Moreover, we read in Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you . . .” We know that for those who are God-fearing, the end will be good. We just need to be patient enough to see it.

This explains the connection to the second part of the verse from Ecclesiastes: “patience is better than pride.” Pride says that we know it all and we can determine what’s good for us and what is bad. Patience says, “Let’s wait and see.”

Friends, when it comes to our own lives, let’s remember that the jury is out until the end. No matter what struggles we may be facing today, the story isn’t over yet. Ultimately, things will turn out for good. With patience and faith, we will see it yet.

With prayers for shalom, peace,
